Take a Look at the Shuckin’ Shack Menu…But Try Not to Drool on Your Screen!

We put a lot of thought into our menu at Shuckin’ Shack because we genuinely want to offer our guests something different from the usual slate of gourmet-ish, fancy-pants seafood.

Honestly, no one should have to pay $30 per appetizer to enjoy fresh, so our oyster bar franchise serves that market, restaurant patrons who want a more casual seafood dining experience but don’t want to pay an arm and a leg.

Take a look at what we have on deck at our Wilmington, North Carolina location…but try not to drool all over your screen!

Oysters

From the day we opened our doors, serving fresh Oysters on the Half Shell has been our claim to fame!

Always fresh, plump, and juicy, Steamed Oysters or Chargrilled Oysters come in half-dozen and full dozen portions topped with crispy bacon. We can do jalapeno cheddar or parmesan garlic on chargrilled oysters if you’re looking for a switch-up.

For Starters…

Our seafood franchise serves 13 different appetizers:

Crab Balls – Six bite-sized crab balls, served with a side of our signature house dipping sauce.

Cold Crab Dip – Crabmeat, cream cheese, and spices, served cold with toasted garlic bread on the side.

Calamari – Hand-breaded, fried squid, served with our own sweet and spicy sauce.

Scallops – Grilled, blackened, sustainably sourced scallops served with citrus butter.

Macaroni Bites – Fried mac-and-cheese – simple yet delectable.

Fried Pickles – Six pickle spears – beer-battered, fried, and served with a side of ranch.

Sharkbite Shrimp – Six jumbos fried shrimp – served with a side of our fiery shark bite sauce.

Ahi Tuna — Seared and blackened sushi-grade ahi – served with a side of soy sauce.

Shrimp Cocktail – Six steamed shrimp chilled and dipped in Old Bay – served with our own homemade cocktail sauce.

Hangover Fries – French fries smothered in queso, green onion, and bacon – topped with a sizzling fried egg and served with sides of jalapenos and ranch dipping sauce.

Shrimp Scampi – Eight sauteed jumbo shrimp – served on garlic toasted french bread.

Cape Fear Nachos – House tortilla chips covered in homemade queso and topped with red onion, lettuce, tomato, green onions, and grilled shrimp – serviced with jalapenos on the side.

Seafood Trio – Does everything look good? Try our Sampler and enjoy smaller portions of Cold Crab Dip, Shark Bite Shrimp, and Calamari.

After you order a few of these, the hard part is leaving room for entrees and a cold beer or two because we pile on the ingredients!

Samplers

Suppose you want to try a little bit of everything at another seafood franchise or upscale, white-tablecloth joint- good luck! While other places will make you drop your entire paycheck to try a few different tastes from the sea, Shuckin’ Shack offers sampler platters to satisfy your cravings without breaking the bank! Customers love our signature samplers, like our:

Oyster Sampler – 4 raw oysters, 6 steamed oysters, and 6 chargrilled oysters.

Steamed Sampler – Pick three: 6 oysters, 6 clams, 1/2 pound of shrimp, 12 mussels, or 1/2 pound of crab legs.

Chilled Sampler – 6 raw oysters, 6 raw clams, and 1/2 pound of chilled shrimp.

Sampler still won’t do for the whole family? No problem! We’ve got that covered too.

Family-style selections

We make Shuckin’ Shack a fun place for the whole family, and we love seeing people gathering together for one of our family-style meals.

Steamed in Old Bay sauce, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes, our Low-Country Boil is one of our more popular items, along with Cappy’s Roast and the Saul T Steam Pot dinner.

Cappy’s Roast includes steamed or raw oysters and 1 pound of shrimp – served with 2 pieces of corn on the side with 2 more sides of slaw and 6 hushpuppies. And the Saul T Steam Pot dinner comes with 1 pound of snow crab legs, ½ pound of shrimp, a dozen clams, dozen oysters – served in a bucket with 2 pieces of corn and 2 sides of slaw.

Shellfish

Is it really a seafood franchise if it doesn’t serve shellfish? We don’t think so! Shuckin’ Shack is home to the freshest sustainably sourced shellfish this side of the Atlantic.

Depending on the type of shellfish, we can serve plates in half-dozen or full dozen portions — or in half-pound and full-pound sizes, so you’d better get to shuckin’!

Our oysters come steamed or raw if you want to go all-in and eat them the old-fashioned way. But we also have shellfish dishes like Wild American Shrimp in your choice of lemon pepper or Old Bay sauce or Steamed Mussels and Crisp Snow Crab Legs.

Wings Surf N’ Turf

Any seafood restaurant that doesn’t have Wings Surf N’ Turf dishes is dropping the ball, but not us! We listened to our guests and added several choices like:

Small Wings – 5 fried, breaded wings tossed in our own house spicy sauce.

Large Wings – 8 fried, breaded wings tossed in our own house spicy sauce.

Surf N’ Turf-Style – Dozen Oysters with Small Wings or 1/2 Pound of Crab Legs with Small Wings. (To be clear, it’s oysters or crab legs with a small side order of wings- not actual oysters and crab legs with wings attached. If only!)

Not only that, but our menu also has salads if you’re not so into seafood. We won’t hold it against you!

Salads

The salads we serve include a House Salad, Side Salad, or our own creation, the Left Coast Louie.

The side salad is a smaller portion of the house salad, which comes with spring, iceberg, tomato, cucumber, red onion, croutons, crackers, Monterey Jack cheese – served with your choice of protein and house dressing.

But the Left Coast Louie salad comes with 8 jumbo shrimp laid across a bed of spring and iceberg lettuce – served with avocado, tomato, hard-boiled egg, and homemade Louie dressing.
