Shuckin’ Shack, the fast-casual oyster bar concept with 19 units and counting, is now serving its nostalgia-inducing limited-time-only Summer ’23 Road Trip Menu. Available now through the end of September, guests at participating Shuckin’ Shack locations can enjoy food and drinks that capture the essence of a classic coastal vacation.
Darren Keeler, the Vice President of Marketing and Creative at Shuckin’ Shack Oyster Bar, shared the inspiration behind the special menu, saying it’s designed to evoke the nostalgia and excitement of a family vacation.
“Picture yourself cruising along the coast in a family station wagon, windows down, suitcases packed, salty air swirling through the car and your road trip playlist blasting at full volume. Arriving at your destination, you check into a motel, drop off your bags and the thrill of vacation takes hold. It’s time to savor the enticing aroma of mouthwatering seafood carried by the ocean breeze. You spot a charming ‘Shack’ with inviting picnic tables, serving up coastal classics that are simple, yet delicious,” said Keeler.
The Summer ’23 Road Trip Menu features a range of dishes that pay homage to the coastal towns and classic cuisine found along the East Coast. Highlights include standout items like the Clam Roll – a combination of crispy clams and special sauce, nestled on a split top bun, accompanied by fries, slaw and an extra side of signature sauce. Another coastal classic, the Fried Flounder Sandwich, stars flounder on Texas Toast with slaw, pickled red onions and tartar sauce. And for those seeking a non-seafood option, there’s the Roadside Burger, which consists of two butter-grilled four-ounce patties topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion.
“There’s something for everyone that will bring back your nostalgic road trip memories,” Keeler said.
To complement the menu items, Shuckin’ Shack has also crafted a selection of refreshing summer drinks, including the Late Checkout, which is a blend of Jack Daniels, Cointreau, cranberry juice, sour mix and ginger ale served with a lemon wedge on the rim. There’s also The Causeway, a Georgia-themed cocktail featuring amaretto, Deep Eddy peach, orange juice and iced tea, garnished with an orange slice and cherry. And for a taste of the tropics, enjoy the Island Hopper, which is a tropical concoction of Paradise coconut rum, orange vodka, whiskey, tequila and sour mix topped with Sprite and pineapple juice, adorned with a pineapple slice, lime wedge and curacao floater.
“The drinks are all super refreshing, and they’re exactly the type of summertime drink that you crave when you’re on vacation,” said Keeler.
The limited-time-only Summer 23’ Road Trip Menu will be available at all Shuckin’ Shack Oyster Bar locations, while prices and participation may vary.
