WILMINGTON, N.C. — Shuckin’ Shack Oyster Bar, the 18-unit oyster bar franchise, is celebrating a year filled with progress, innovation and meaningful community engagement.

“In an election year and with increased inflation, there was some nervousness in the market,” said CEO Jonathan Weathington. “However, moving into the middle of 2024, things turned around and we ended the year as strong as last year. Considering the challenges in the full-service dining sector, we’re pleased with what we’ve achieved.”

Shuckin’ Shack introduced several key initiatives in 2024 to enhance operations and marketing efforts. Most notably, the brand launched a refined menu that pares down options, making it more streamlined for franchisees and customers alike.

The third annual Fresh & Raw Tour Together with Truist was another highlight of the year, raising $75,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and showcasing Shuckin’ Shack’s commitment to giving back. The month-long event spanned 16 cities and featured Nashville musicians Dave Gibson and Charlie Argo, bringing together communities for live music, seafood and fundraising.

Plans are already in motion to make the next Fresh & Raw Tour even bigger, with a goal of raising more funds and creating an even greater impact. “We’re always looking for ways to improve and make these events more exciting for everyone involved,” said Weathington.

Another one of the brand’s standout achievements this year was the recognition its restaurants received at the local level. “The thing I’m most proud of is seeing our restaurants win awards in their markets,” said Weathington. “What we do really well is make an impact in the local communities, and we continue to strengthen those ties.”

When it comes to expansion, Shuckin’ Shack signed a new location in the Charlotte market, laying the groundwork for continued growth. As Shuckin’ Shack gears up for 2025, the focus remains on opening healthy, thriving restaurants with strong local roots. “We want to continue growing in the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida and beyond,” said Weathington. “What sets us apart in the full-service industry is our authenticity and the meaningful connections we create with our guests and communities.”

With a proven operational frameworkcomprehensive support and a strong focus on sustainability and community engagement, Shuckin’ Shack offers franchisees an opportunity to join a brand that prioritizes both success and impact. The cost to open a Shuckin’ Shack franchise ranges from $472,000 to $1,416,420.
